Summer Session 2020
Check out our NEW options for Summer!
Thrive summer literacy services will be offered out of two locations this summer! We look forward to our 7th summer offering Literacy Camps in Wayne, PA., and, private tutoring in all local libraries on the mainline and surrounding areas. We are thrilled to announce we will be in NJ this summer- offering private and small group tutoring out of libraries local to Moorestown, Haddonfield, and Collingswood areas AND holding summer literacy camp in a location TBD in this area. You can register for ANY of these services, in either location, NOW, at an early bird 10% discount until February.
Thrive will offer some new camps this summer focused on Wellness for children. Wellness is a dynamic process of change and growth. Social-Emotional Learning helps your child effectively apply the knowledge, attitude, and skills to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, and establish and maintain positive relationships. We anticipate providing a camp focused on yoga and mindfulness, and, another camp focused on social-emotional skill development. Both camps will be infused with literacy activities. We look forward to this perfect complement to our services. More details coming soon. In the meantime, you can express interest in these services by emailing us!
A loss of reading and writing skills over the summer, also known as "summer slide," can have a significant impact on your child's success in the next school year. Stay on track through the summer months by dedicating just the right amount of time to intensive, yet ENJOYABLE, practice with reading and writing.
Our small group setting provides an optimal, differentiated learning experience for your child. We make our sessions as fun and engaging as we can so we can help your growing readers develop a love of literacy that will carry them through their school years.
Summer Literacy Camps
Our week long, 3 hour a day Literacy Camps are designed for students of all ability levels. Each week is designated for children of different grade levels. Max 7 students per group. Camp is highly differentiated to students goals and interests. Our full day camps (7 hours) will break for a packed lunch and play. The afternoon session will be an extension of the morning. We will spend more time in small groups on reading, writing and word studies. The children will get time to pick books they enjoy and read books on their levels. We will play games and make skill practice fun!
This year we are offering an extended day for our campers from 3-4 pm or 3-5 pm
Summer Weekly Private or Small Group Tutoring
Our Weekly Private or Small Group Tutoring is designed for students who benefit from individualized instruction in reading and/or writing. In the summer, weekly small group tutoring is also a powerful way to combat and give children a leg up before entering the next school year. Individuals or small groups meet with a reading specialist for 60 minute sessions each week. We offer several locations
